Wow!

I can't believe I am doing this....

For those of you who know me the best....you know this is a little out of the ordinary for me. But I figured my family keeps asking when I'm going to get a blog. So here I am...starting my very first blog.

So I'm going to need all of your experienced bloggers help.

What do you do with these things? What do I say....what is the purpose of a blog I guess is what I'm getting at.

Any way...we have my cousin's over tonight. So I'm going to go make dinner.

  1. YAY! I didn't know you were doing this till I read Alyse's back posts. Don't feel pressure but just write what you are thinking when you want to...that has been the hardest and best part for me. To know there is no pressure with the blogging and believe it.

    Welcome and Hugs,

    Holly Boo

PS. Can I tie a link to your blog from mine?

  2. Heather, you sneaky!! Why didn't I hear about your blog before finding a post about it in Alyse's archives?

Well, know that you can't hide from me now and I'm your newest avid reader. Mwahahaha!

    * hugs * Love you and look forward to enthusiastically encouraging you in the blogging addiction... er, habit. ;->

What is the purpose of blogging? Easy answer: Whatever you want.

Alyse is a photographer and addicted mother. Michelle is an aspiring novelist. Becca-chan uses it as a one-stop place to share what she finds most interesting, usually book or movie reviews and YouTube links. Meghan rounds it back again as a photographer and run-around-crazy mother.

Me? I primarily write as a way to journal (I'm rotten at hand-writing the events of my life). And secondarily as a way for people to know me better, if they care enough to want to know. I crave the interaction with others who know and think and feel the same way I do. I feel more alive when I find others who find the same joys in life as I do.

You've already figured out how to set up a blog and make entries. Now treat yourself! Make sure you're having fun, otherwise you'll end up with a website almost never updated like Dad, Mom, Holly, Scott, and a dozen other friends whose pages I keep haunting hoping for a tidbit of an update.

Remember the most important thing of all: Do it for yourself. Otherwise it is just a chore, a pain, and no fun. No one needs more chores. But everyone could use another source of joy.

May you find joy and fulfillment in the new journey!

PS Hope I can link here from my blog, because I already have. ;->
